Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statements

This journal is committed to upholding high standards of publication ethics in all aspects of the publication process. All parties involved, including journal managers, editors, reviewers, and authors, must uphold integrity, honesty, and transparency. Research and publications in this journal must reflect the ethical principles of agribusiness and agriculture, such as sustainability, equity, and social responsibility.

Based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which essentially upholds three ethical values ​​in publications :

  1. Neutrality, namely being free from conflicts of interest in managing publications
  2. Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors/writers
  3. Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Managers

  1. Ensure the smooth publishing process in accordance with ethical standards.
  2. Protect the copyright and privacy of all parties involved.
  3. Maintain editorial independence without external interference.
  4. Provide communication channels to address ethical issues or conflicts of interest.

Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that submitted manuscripts undergo a fair and transparent review process.
  2. Evaluate manuscripts based on scientific quality without discrimination of race, gender, or religion.
  3. Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts during the review process.
  4. Act promptly on any suspected ethical violations.

Reviewer Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide objective and constructive feedback to improve manuscript quality.
  2. Respect the confidentiality of manuscripts and refrain from using information for personal gain.
  3. Report potential conflicts of interest or signs of ethical violations.
  4. Complete review tasks promptly within the specified deadlines.

Author Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Submit original, honest, and plagiarism-free work.
  2. Properly cite all sources according to the journal’s guidelines.
  3. Avoid submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
  4. Disclose relevant conflicts of interest and include all significant contributions.
