Pengaruh Pemberian Kompos Kotoran Ayam dan Pupuk NPK Majemuk Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Mentimun (Cucumis sativus L)

Abstract

This research aims to determine and study the response to the effect of giving chicken manure and compound
NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L). Research This research was
carried out on farmer's land located on Jl. Voluntary Lr. Mataram RT.22 RW. 06 KM. 7 Sukarami Village,
Sukarami District, Palembang City, South Sumatra. This research was carried out from December 2023 to
February 2024. This research used a Factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) with 9 treatment combinations
and was repeated 3 times. The first factor is Chicken Manure Fertilizer (V) which consists of V1= 8 tonnes/ha
or(1.6kg/plot), V2= 6 tonnes/ha or(1.2k/plot), V3= 4 tonnes/ha or( 0.8kg/lot). Then the second factor is the
additional dose of NPK fertilizer (N) which consists of N1= 300kg/ha or (60gr/plot) N2= 200kg/ha or (40gr/plot),
N3= 100kg/ha or (20gr/plot). The variables observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (pieces), number
of fruit per plant (fruit), length of fruit per plant (cm) and density of fruit per plant (kg). Chicken Manure Fertilizer
treatment at a dose of 1.2kg/plot gave the best results for the variables plant height, number of leaves, number of
fruit per plant, length of fruit per plant and weight of fruit per plant. NPK fertilizer treatment at a dose of 40g/plot
gave the best results for the variables plant height, number of leaves, number of fruit per plant, length of fruit per
plant and weight of fruit per plant. The interaction between Chicken Manure Fertilizer at a dose of 1.2kg/plot and
NPK Fertilizer at a dose of 40g/plot gave the best results for the growth and yield of cucumber plants.With a
production of 2kg/plant or the equivalent of 8 tonnes/hectare.
