Tantangan Dan Permasalahan Penerapan Padi Ip 200 Di Lahan Rawa Lebak Kelurahan Kertapati Kecamatan Keramasan Kota Palembang

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges and issues faced by farmers who have and have not adopted the IP 200 lowland swamp rice cultivation system in Keramasan Subdistrict. The research location was determined purposively, using both primary and secondary data, and analyzed qualitatively. The results show that farmers who have not implemented IP 200 face seven challenge factors, but only four have moderate to strong correlations: land area, farmer age, labor availability, and pest and disease incidence. Large land areas require more capital and labor. The predominance of elderly farmers poses constraints in terms of physical ability and motivation. Additionally, pests tend to attack IP 200 fields more frequently, increasing the risks. Meanwhile, farmers who have adopted IP 200 also face similar challenges. Of the seven factors, one shows a low correlation (farmer age), one has a strong correlation (labor availability), and five have very strong correlations: land area, land ownership status, labor availability, capital, and pest and disease incidence. These factors are interrelated, where larger land areas require more labor and capital to support the successful implementation of the IP 200 system.
